Those families assisted by our Foundation who are unable to cover their basic food needs receive a pre-charged card to be used in supermarkets.

By allowing them decision power on the card use, according to their nutritional habits, dietary needs and preferences, we contribute to upholding the family’s dignity and respecting their rights.

Food Boost for Special Needs

People with special nutritional needs due to medical conditions receive additional cards to buy the necessary products.

High blood pressure, diabetes, gluten intolerance, high cholesterol and many other conditions require medication and an adequate diet. These special products, essential for patients’ life quality increase the cost of the food basket, even for families above the poverty line, placing healthcare beyond their reach.

Tzedaká Foundation covers part of those special needs through specific subsidies for the purchase of these products.
