Celebrating Rosh Hashanah with Holocaust Survivors

We shared a Rosh Hashanah lunch with participants and family members of our Holocaust Survivors Assistance Program, in a gathering to celebrate our traditions, spend time together, and enjoy the sense of community.

At Comunidad Mishkan, Rabbi Diego Elman led the celebration, and the survivors also took part in reciting the blessings (brachot). The klezmer music of “Nunca Tuve Bobe” filled the space with songs and joy, inviting everyone to enjoy and share this special moment.

The Holocaust Survivors Assistance Program provides comprehensive support and creates opportunities for social interaction through workshops and activities that contribute to improving quality of life and encourage connections among survivors.

Celebrating Rosh Hashanah together is also a way to honor their stories and share the present.
