More than 120 people attended the Solidarity Knitting Gathering!

With a large turnout, another edition of our Solidarity Knitting Gathering took place, an activity that once again demonstrated the power of solidarity in action. More than 120 people -including knitters, volunteers, and high school students, gathered to knit warm clothing together to donate to those most in need.

The day was filled with a special energy: laughter, conversation, hands moving, and a deep sense of community. The knitters made hats and blankets that will be govern to people undergoing cancer treatment. During the gathering, 250 beautiful garments were completed and delivered to the Lado H organization, which will distribute them through its “Un Pelito Mas Facil” campaign, aimed at supporting cancer patients.

The meeting was held in a space provided by Macabi and was supported by the Buenos Aires City Council of the Judiciary.

Since the launch of Tzedaká’s solidarity Knitting Program, we have already delivered more than 20,000 items – blankets, sweaters scarves, hats, vests, and other items – to more than 100 social organizations across the country.

Our weavers even appeared on TV! Don’t miss the live news report on TN. (Spanish only)

“Convening a solidarity knitting event is much more than gathering people to make clothes: it’s a way of building community. Knitting in community is empathy that warms, and when the goal is solidarity, it also warms people who transform realities,” commented Betina Rosental, executive director of Fundación Tzedaká

Thank you to all the people who, through their kind hands, provide warmth to those most in need!
