Electrosolidario, a joint venture by Fundación Tzedaká and Newsan, is Argentina’s first online store for refurbished appliances. This sustainable project also promotes labor inclusion—by providing jobs to people trained to repair appliances—and actively contributes to our Foundation’s social programs.
Newsan donates products returned by customers to our Foundation. These appliances are repaired by people from vulnerable settings who are specially trained and then sold at our e-commerce solidarity website at far more affordable prices.
The program bears a three-fold impact: economically speaking, it makes products from renowned brands more accessible and affordable for consumers; environmentally, it extends the duration of product lifecycles, while reducing the amount of highly polluting electronic waste, and, socially, it creates jobs and supports our organization’s education, healthcare, food, and housing programs.
