One of the worst consequences of the crisis was that it left thousands of people without access to health care coverage. The public health network, overburdened by demand and lack of resources, could not meet the needs of the impoverished population that was forced to set aside its health needs due to economic reasons. As a result of this, we found that many of our beneficiaries have received poor treatment for their ailments or are diagnosed with illnesses that could have been prevented if initially treated properly.

A high percentage of the beneficiary population of Tzedaká suffers from serious illnesses such as cancer, asthma, diabetes, and more.

Therefore, at Tzedaká we work to improve the quality of life of people suffering from pre-existing illnesses and to promote preventive health habits through various initiatives.
